National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an autonomous body that works for the prevention and control of corruption and white-collar crime in Pakistan. Established in 1999 under the National Accountability Ordinance, NAB has played a significant role in bringing corrupt individuals to justice and recovering looted public funds. In this article, we will discuss the jobs offered by NAB in 2023 and the opportunities available for interested candidates.

NAB Jobs 2023:

NAB offers a range of job opportunities for individuals with various educational backgrounds and work experience. The positions available in NAB can be classified into three categories: Officers, Support Staff, and Interns.

Officers:

NAB offers a range of officer-level positions for individuals with a bachelor’s or master’s degree. The officer-level positions require candidates to have relevant work experience in their respective fields. Some of the officer-level positions offered by NAB are as follows:

  1. Investigation Officer:

An investigation officer is responsible for conducting investigations into cases of corruption and white-collar crime. The position requires candidates to have a bachelor’s degree in law or criminology and at least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field.

  1. Prosecutor:

A prosecutor is responsible for presenting cases in court and ensuring that justice is served. The position requires candidates to have a bachelor’s degree in law and at least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field.

  1. Intelligence Officer:

An intelligence officer is responsible for gathering information and conducting surveillance on individuals suspected of corruption or white-collar crime. The position requires candidates to have a bachelor’s degree in criminology or intelligence studies and at least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field.

  1. Assistant Director:

An assistant director is responsible for managing a team of officers and overseeing investigations and prosecutions. The position requires candidates to have a master’s degree in law or criminology and at least 5 years of work experience in the relevant field.

Support Staff:

NAB also offers a range of support staff positions for individuals with a diploma or bachelor’s degree. The support staff positions require candidates to have relevant work experience in their respective fields. Some of the support staff positions offered by NAB are as follows:

  1. Stenographer:

A stenographer is responsible for taking dictation and typing correspondence. The position requires candidates to have a diploma in shorthand and typing and at least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field.

  1. Assistant:

An assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to officers and managers. The position requires candidates to have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field and at least 2 years of work experience in the relevant field.

  1. Data Entry Operator:

A data entry operator is responsible for entering data into computer systems. The position requires candidates to have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and at least 1 year of work experience in the relevant field.

  1. Driver:

A driver is responsible for driving officers and managers to various locations. The position requires candidates to have a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of driving experience.

Interns:

NAB also offers internship opportunities for students and recent graduates. The internship program provides students with an opportunity to gain practical work experience and exposure to the anti-corruption field. The internship positions offered by NAB are as follows:

  1. Legal Intern:

A legal intern is responsible for assisting prosecutors and investigation officers with legal research and drafting legal documents. The position requires candidates to be enrolled in a law degree program or to have recently graduated from a law degree program.

  1. Research Intern:

A research intern is responsible for conducting research on various topics related to anti-corruption and white-collar crime. The position requires candidates to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
